Samay Focus Timer

Track the work. Keep your focus.

Use a subtle floating timer on normal Chrome webpages, then save completed time as a draft for review in Samay.

How it works

  1. Install and pin Samay Focus Timer from the Chrome toolbar.
  2. Open the extension and sign in with the Samay account issued by your organization.
  3. On a normal webpage, open the timer, select a client or internal work, choose a work category, and add a clear note.
  4. Start the timer. Collapse it to a small elapsed-time banner while you work.
  5. Pause, resume, or end the timer. Ending saves the time as a draft in Samay for review.

Common questions

The timer does not appear on a page

Chrome does not allow extensions to inject interfaces into browser-owned pages such as chrome://, the Chrome Web Store, some PDF viewers, or the new-tab page. Open a normal website, refresh it after installation, select the Samay extension icon, and choose Show timer on this page.

Client or work-category options are missing

The extension shows active master data authorized for your Samay account. Confirm the values are active in Samay, then reopen the extension to refresh. Contact your Samay administrator if access is missing.

I ended a timer but cannot find it

Ended extension timers are saved as drafts. Open Samay and review your draft timesheets before submission.

I cannot sign in

Use the same username or email and password that work in the Samay portal. If the portal also rejects them, ask your organization's Samay administrator to verify or reset the account.

Support and privacy

Your organization's Samay administrator is the first contact for account access, master data, draft corrections, and deletion requests. The extension never reads or sends the webpages you visit; see the full policy for its exact data handling and permissions.
